The Story Behind the Story

The Portsmouth Sports Club held their monthly meeting at the Elizabeth Manor Golf and Country Club. President Ned McCabe announced the September meeting will be held at Roger Brown's in the evening with guest speaker Old Dominion head basketball coach Jeff Jones. Director of the PIT Mahlon Parker presented a check for the sports club foundation to Gene Luke in the amount of $1000. Jimmy Williams introduced guest speaker Nathan Epstein of channel 10 WAVY and FOX 43 sports. Nathan credits sports director Bruce Radar with giving him his big break in a large TV market and feels called to tell the story behind the story, which he believes is what his viewers want to hear.
